School and District Transformation Unit

This unit supports universal and targeted support to districts and schools through grant implementation and the assignment of support managers. This unit also runs the Transformation Network, a professional development network for schools and districts across the state assigned accreditation ratings of Turnaround and Priority Improvement 

Field Services and Supports Unit

The Field Services and Supports Unit provides universal support for all 178 Colorado school districts to build our districts' capacity.  We provide intensive and targeted services in cooperation with other CDE units and partners to ensure all students and families have access to high-quality education.   
Our team meets regularly with district and BOCES leadership regarding educator effectiveness, standards, assessments, accountability, performance and support, special education, and postsecondary readiness. We emphasize support with the 147 rural school districts.

District Improvement Strategy Office

The District Improvement Strategy Office (DISO) is dedicated to the sole purpose of developing, deploying, and supporting professional learning for all educational leaders.  We know improving education is complex and that each school and district is navigating change in its own way. We believe schools and districts need relevant, high-quality professional learning and support for Colorado students to succeed.
