Applications to exchange teach in Canada for the 2016-17 school year and to exchange teach in Australia for the 2017 calendar year will be available by the end of June 2016. These full-year direct exchanges involve trading jobs and housing for a full year with a teacher from another country.

Minimum qualifications:  4 1/2 years of teaching experience, 3 years in the current school district (be non-probationary), 3 years since a previous exchange, hold a Colorado educator license, and obtain district/school approval.  Families go along. State Commissioner of Education, Robert Hammond, and the State Board of Education endorse this program as an excellent staff development opportunity.
