Learning Cohorts: Elementary English Language Arts Leadership
A Colorado-Wide Effort to Strengthen 3rd Grade Literacy
Do you want to strengthen your leadership for elementary literacy success? Are you leveraging high-quality instructional materials (HQIM) and short-cycle data to advance ELA outcomes? Join a community of leaders focused on strategic, best-first instruction and high-impact instructional leadership.
This cohort brings leaders together to explore problems of practice, engage in peer learning, and participate in site visits and learning walks that spark ideas and inspire action. Together, we’ll strengthen leadership capacity to elevate student literacy.
Our Approach | Lead with Clarity. Build with Impact.
Through short-cycle goal setting, expert insights, collaborative problem-solving, and site visits to schools actively implementing HQIM, participants will uncover root causes and apply strategies to support academic growth. This cohort emphasizes sustainable systems to drive lasting improvement in Elementary English Language Arts.

Participants
This cohort is designed for school-based leadership teams supporting elementary literacy instruction. While we encourage teams of two or more to apply (collaborative learning strengthens outcomes), solo participants from smaller systems are equally valued. We ask that district and school supervisors are aware of and supportive of participation to ensure alignment and maximize impact.
Common Roles Include:
- Principals, Assistant Principals, Deans, Instructional Coaches, Coordinators, and other school leaders involved in strengthening literacy instruction.
