Calling all MS and HS science teachers! Join developers from the Center for Education, Engagement, and Evaluation as they guide participants through the latest Data Puzzles, a resource that combines classroom-friendly scientific datasets with the research-backed instructional practices of Ambitious Science Teaching to help students make sense of phenomena. Webinar participants will receive a 1-hr PD certificate from the University of Colorado Boulder!
Wind Farms of the Future (Register here)
- Wednesday, November 13th, 3-4 pm PT, 4-5 pm MT, 5-6 pm CT, 6-7 pm ET
- Overview: Join curriculum developer Alyse Thurber as she guides participants through the Wind Farms of the Future Data Puzzle, a 2-day MS/HS lesson in which students explore where new wind farms should be constructed. In this Data Puzzle, students analyze surface roughness and wind speed data to construct an evidence-based explanation for the investigative question, "Where in the United States (lands and waters) should new wind turbines be constructed to generate the most energy?"
