The State Board of Education noticed rulemaking in September 2018 for the Rules for the Administration of Retaining Teachers Grant Program (PDF). This is a new grant program authorized during the 2018 legislative session under House Bill 18-1412. The retaining teachers grant program was created to assist local education providers in retaining teachers by implementing one or more initiatives designed to improve the ability of local education providers to retain teachers.

However, we encourage you or members of your staff to attend the rulemaking hearings on Nov. 14 and 15, 2018 to provide oral testimony. You may also provide written comment to the rules via email@example.com.
The recommended deadline for written comments is Wednesday, Nov. 7 to allow adequate time for staff to review and incorporate comments into the rules. However, we will accept written comments at any time up to and including the day of the hearing.
