The State Board of Education noticed rulemaking in February 2019 for:
- 1 CCR 301-37: Rules for the Administration of the Educator Licensing Act of 1991
- 1 CCR 301-101: Rules for the Administration of Educator License Endorsements
- 1 CCR 301-87: Rules for the Administration of a Statewide System to Evaluate the Effectiveness of Licensed Personnel Employed by School Districts and Boards of Cooperative Services.
About the Revisions
In addition to general technical language clean-up, the revisions to 1 CCR 301-37 incorporate the Teacher of Record program and license and the Grow Your Own Educator Program that were created by HB 18-1309.
Revisions to 1 CCR 301-101 are limited to technical language clean-up.
The revisions to 1 CCR 301-87 reflect recommendations by teachers, principals, and district leadership based on several years of full implementation of the Colorado Educator Effectiveness System. Most notably, the rules streamline the Quality Standards.
