Wiley School District is a small rural District located 10 miles north of Lamar in southeast Colorado. Wiley School Districts average student enrollment has held fairly steady over the past four years. 2021-2022 (PK-12 262); 2022-2023 (PK-12 266) and in 2023-2024 (PK-12 266). Wiley draws a large open enrollment from Lamar and has continued to see about the same number of students each year coming to Wiley for open enrollment. 25 year we have an extremely small 11th grade group with only 6 students. All elementary classes are over 20 including our PK class. Our district is part of the Sante-Fe Trail BOCES located in La Junta Colorado. After the 2018-19 school year where Wiley was accredited but Low Participation the focus was on increasing participation rates in the state assessments. This focus has worked giving the district an overall participation rate of over 95%. This participation rate gives us a better portrayal of student achievement. The district has committed to making Wiley Schools a technology rich environment while maintaining an emphasis on the importance of providing a quality education through direct instruction in a formal classroom setting. Wiley School District completed a strategic plan in spring of 2024 that included focus on academic excellent, family & community partnerships, professional & organizational excellence, and a safe and supportive environment. 2023-2024 School Demographics: 49.8% female, 34.3% LatinX students, 53.4% are FRL eligible, 12.00% are students on IEPs, 5.2% are MLL students, 1.2% are GT students (Attendance Rate-93.8%) 2024-2025 School Demographics: 50.5% female, 37.81% LatinX students, 52.8% are FRL eligible, 10.06% are students on IEPs, 7.4% are MLL students, 6.7% are GT student
