New website helps Colorado high school students discover programs for earning college credit while still in high school
Colorado high school students can find information about how to earn college credit while they are still in high school on a new website created by the Colorado Department of Education and the Colorado Department of Higher Education.

State Board of Education to apply for funding for ‘remote learning collectives’
The State Board of Education authorized CDE staff to submit an application for the federal Education Stabilization Fund -- Rethink K12 Education Models (ESF-REM) grant to create community-based “remote learning collectives” to support children’s academic needs.

Colorado plans to offer seniors free SAT tests on a school day next fall
Colorado 12th graders would be able to take the SAT test on a school day next fall for no cost under an agreement the Colorado Department of Education is pursuing with the College Board, the organization that administers the test.

State Board approves READ Act Assessment option for teachers
The State Board of Education approved a test that teachers may take to demonstrate their understanding of evidence-based reading instruction, a requirement of the changes to the READ Act approved by the legislature last year.
