CCTM Annual Conference - Early Registration Discount Ends June 29

Tomorrow, June 29th is the last day to receive a discounted registration for the CCTM conference. Check out the schedule at-a-glance and register for the conference today (or tomorrow) to save $20 over the regular rate.

CDE Opportunities

Apply to participate in the Media Literacy Advisory Committee

CDE has opened the application process to participate in the Media Literacy Advisory Committee. Online applications will be accepted through Friday, Aug. 9. As a part of the online application, all applicants will be asked to upload a letter of interest. Applicants seeking to fill a professional role will be asked to upload a resume.

The department anticipates that the working group will convene in September and continue to meet regularly through December. Members will be provided travel reimbursements and, if applicable, cost reimbursements for substitute teachers.

The committee will be appointed by the commissioner of education and is responsible for creating a report with recommendations for implementing media literacy in elementary and secondary education. Join the Colorado Educator Pool for Assessment Development Committee Selection

CDE depends on Colorado educators to develop and review assessment items for use on CMAS tests. To add your name to the pool of educators who get asked to participate in this work, please complete the educator database survey.

The recently-launched-but-still-in-beta STEM Teacher Leadership Network (backed by PAEMST, NSF/Noyce, NSTA, and NCTM) is worth checking out, and several of their newest resources are research articles about involving young women in STEM:
